Things You Might Hear at IHiredTyler.com
Every industry has jargon. Ours just happens to be a little more questionable. Some of these are real SEO concepts with better names. Some happened by accident. A few probably should not exist at all.

Real Concepts. Questionable Vocabulary.
SEO already has enough acronyms, technical terminology and complicated explanations.
Around here, some of those concepts eventually get renamed into something easier to remember.
Other words just happen.
The IHiredTyler definition explains what the term means around here. The real definition explains the SEO, web design or digital marketing concept hiding underneath it.
Start With These Three.
Three completely unofficial terms that somehow became completely normal vocabulary.
SEO Fishing
Throw some carefully selected bait into Google's pond and see what fish bite.
Start with researched seed keywords in a new geographic market, publish relevant pages, then use Google Search Console to see which related searches Google starts ranking them for. Once Google shows us what is biting, we know what to push harder.
Digital Meatball
Everything rolled together into one giant digital meatball.
SEO, web design, content, branding, local search, analytics and digital marketing working together instead of being handled like unrelated pieces.
Hooter
A custom sidebar that does the job of both a header and a footer. Header + footer = Hooter. Obviously.
A persistent sidebar containing branding, navigation, contact information and other elements normally split between the site's header and footer.
Words, Phrases & Other Chingalettas.
Some are SEO terms. Some are Tyler terms. One involves Josh for absolutely no good reason.
The little keyword babies Google gives you after your original keywords start doing their thing.
Related and long-tail queries that begin generating rankings and impressions even though they were not among the original targets.
Your primary keyword's little group of friends that came along to help.
Secondary keyphrases intentionally used alongside a primary keyphrase to reinforce the page and capture closely related searches.
A keyword that suddenly decides it's going UP.
A search query experiencing unusually fast positive ranking movement over a relatively short period.
They had the ranking. You wanted the ranking. Now you have the ranking.
Successfully overtaking a competing website for a targeted organic search position.
Number one. The top spot. Numero Uno.
Position #1 in Google's organic search results for a target query.
Somebody who can't beat you on Google, so they try another way.
Someone who reports a legitimate Google Business Profile under false or misleading pretenses in an attempt to have it suspended or removed.
When Google throws a bunch of completely different things into the same bowl.
A search results page containing mixed intent or several different types of results, making it harder to determine exactly what Google thinks the searcher wants.
When the SEO is such a mess that you have to clean it up before you can actually do SEO.
Conflicting pages, duplicate targeting, poor internal links, redirects, technical problems and inconsistent optimization tangled together.
A person who is really, really, really good at SEO.
See definition above.
The universal measurement of improvement.
There is no real term. Somehow everything at IHiredTyler can apparently be improved by exactly 26.6%.
Something that's going to be a tough one.
A difficult problem, project, ranking, website or SEO situation that's going to require more work than usual.
FISH
ING.
Give Google the Bait. See What Bites.
Start with researched keywords that have real demand. Put the pages into a new market. Let them run.
Google will begin testing those pages against related searches that were never directly targeted. Those new searches are the Baby Keys.
Once enough data comes in, I can see which variations are already gaining traction and push those harder instead of guessing what Google wants.

Whatever Thing We're Talking About.
That's the definition. If you know what we're talking about, that's the Chingaletta.
It comes from the Mexican Spanish slang chingadera, which can refer to "that thing," "that crap," or "that shit" depending on context. Chingaletta is the extremely Anglo-Saxon version.
At IHiredTyler, it can also technically describe everything else on this page. A Hooter is a Chingaletta. A Rank Rocket is a Chingaletta. The Digital Meatball is definitely a Chingaletta.
Josh is Tyler's best friend and the owner of AZ 4Runner Parts and Rent-A-Lift AZ, both IHiredTyler-built websites. His qualifications for inclusion in this dictionary are questionable at best.
The Vocabulary Is Questionable. The Work Isn't.
IHiredTyler handles SEO, web design, local search, eCommerce, content and digital strategy for businesses that want to get found and actually turn that visibility into customers.
